With thanks to God, Luther Classical College (LCC) is pleased to report that U.S. Customs and Immigration has approved LCC’s petition to secure a new TN status for Rev. Dr. Harold Ristau as faculty of LCC. Pending his successful re-entry at the Canadian-U.S. border and under the terms and conditions of the approved TN status, Dr. Ristau will teach theology and philosophy in a full-time faculty role. “The people of the college have been grateful to receive the outpouring of support upon the announcement of Dr. Ristau’s situation,” remarks Micah Christensen, chairman of LCC’s Board of Regents. “We received great news today. Praise the Lord for His continued care of the Ristaus and the college.”
The Ristau family aims to return to Casper in mid-August ahead of LCC’s inaugural fall semester. “While we may be Canadian citizens, we are delighted to return to our home in the U.S., where we know we will be reembraced by the generous Casper community,” says Dr. Ristau. LCC asks its supporters to pray for a safe return journey to Wyoming for the Ristaus.
While the LCC presidential search committee continues its work to identify candidates for the college presidency, the college remains deeply thankful for the outstanding faculty in place to provide instruction this fall.
